So, I did not go to bed last night when I thought I would. This project has taken over my brain. Even more.  How is this possible?!!!! I have been thinking and thinking about the where's and who's and what's (leaving the what-if's out of the equation), even though I thought I had already thought of them.  Matters not, as this project is going to be AMAZING!  Also, I hold fast to one of my favorite quotes:

I have a deep well of faith and I drink from it every day.

Upon waking early this morning, with even darker circles under my eyes, I immediately hit the computer to send some emails.  Within an hour, I received a positive reply on one of my inquiries. I will be stopping at Morgan's Wonderland as I do the Texas leg of this journey.  Excited? ABSOLUTELY! For those of you who don't know of Morgan's Wonderland, I will tell you my thoughts about it click on the link below the next paragraph.

I first heard of Morgan's Wonderland when I was in San Antonio the Spring of 2010 (Ford Foundation grant thing).  An amusement park for special needs people!   I wanted desperately to visit this magical place, but alas, it was not completed until 1 month after I was done in S.A.  What a BRILLIANT concept.  I truly hope this place goes worldwide, sort of like a Disney Land for Special Needs people.  How cool would that be?!?

The Special HeARTS project will be at Morgan's Wonderland!!!   WOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

As always, this has set my head a spinning, again, and now I want to try and connect with all the Special Needs parks/activity type places across the country and re-plan my route accordingly.  If you know of any places like this across the country, PLEASE do share!!!

Now I must get ready for my First Friday art gig at Bin 33.  Still don't even know what I am going to paint...but I do know what I am going to eat and I know that will be good.

A heartfelt THANKS to all the new pledgers today.

Happy Friday ~ make it special.

Dreaming in color...

My mind is racing with thoughts of the Hearts of Love project!  I keep doing the route over and over, changing the route again and again.  No matter how I do it, it is going to be a long journey.  That does not bother me.  I am really EXCITED about this trip and I know the 4 months will fly by in nothing flat!

Several friends have already said they would like to come along ~ well, come on!  Loneliness was something I dealt with while doing the San Antonio project (with a grant from the Ford Foundation), but that was because I was in the same hotel room for over 5 weeks, in a town where I knew nobody!   I am thankful several friends from Houston came up on weekend jaunts.  This trip won't be anything like that ~ I will be in a new town every day, working.  The following day will always be a day of travel (which I love to do!).  Yes, the 4 months will fly by!

I plan to have plenty of jerky in the car at all times (if you have a favorite brand, please let me know ~ feel free to send me some before I leave).  When I travel through Texas, I plan to stock up on as much jerky from Buc-ees as I can.

I hope to blog every night during this trip.  I want to keep everyone updated, but it will also serve as a type of diary for me so I can look back when my memory gets worse.

Yeah, this is going to be a pretty amazing trip.

Peace & Blessings to all.
xoxo,
Baer

Major Tom to Ground Control

We have lift off!  This is my new adventure. When Puxatawney Phil shares his wisdom with the world tomorrow, surely it will be a sign of things to come I will laugh and sing and dance!

For now, I must sleep. Several days of editing, thinking, writing and 'rythmatic has put some serious bags under my eyes.  They are quite visible in the video you can view on the link above. But first,

THANK YOU! to those who pledged to my project within minutes of the launch!  You made me cry and smile at the same time.

Sweet dreams my lovies.
xoxo.
